Vermont Census Information
A 1785 Vermont State Census was taken and appears to be partial.
The 1790 Vermont Federal Census was actually taken in 1791 when Vermont became a state. This can be confusing as an individual may be enumerated in the 1791 Vermont Census but may have been enumerated in another state in 1790. The 1791 Census is often confused as being a Vermont State Census.
The 1790 Federal Vermont Census wasn't taken until 1791 when Vermont became a state.
