Prominent Grocery Man Dies Suddenly
Heart Trouble Claims Henry C. Blade After One Day's Illness
Henry C. Blade, a prominent groceryman and a native of Fort Wayne, died very suddenly at 4:15 o'clock Tuesday morning at his home, 1201 Broadway. Death followed an illness of but one day and was due to heart trouble. Death came eleven days after his fifty-third birthday. The deceased was a member of the firm of Kayser & Baade. who hava been in the grocery business at Jefferson street and Broadway for over thirty years. Mr. Baade is widely known throughout the city. The news of his death comes as a shock to his many friends and acquaintances.
Mr. Baade was born and reared in Fort Wayne and had resided here practically all his life. He was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran church and also of the B. U. V.
Surviving he leaves the mother, Mrs. Sophia Baade, the widow, one daughter. Miss Corinna; one son, Elmer, of Bloomington university; three sisters, Mrs. William Kayser, Miss Sophia Baade. and Mrs. Martha Horstmeyer; and two brothers. Frederick H. and Martin C. CHRISTMAN: Mrs. Sophia Christman, aged forty eight years, wife of Louis Christman, died Monday at her home In Lima, O., following an Illness of one week due to typhoid fever. She was well known In this city and was a sister to Mrs. Fred Homeyer, of Fort Wayne. She is survived by the husband, two sons, Walter and Ludwlg:, and five sisters and two brothers. HALEY, Daniel, Obituary
HALEY: Daniel Haley, a well known resident of Fort Wayne, died Monday night at his home, 307 East Creighton avenue, following an illness of three days due to pneumonia. He was employed as a yard foreman at the Bass works. He had resided in Fort Wayne for the past twenty-eight years. The deceased was born and reared In Columbia City. Besides the widow he is survived by the following children: Mrs. John Henry, Charles, Harry, Loo and Daniel Haley, Jr. Ono brother, John Haley, of South Whitley, and two sisters, Mrs. Jane Rngan. of Napoleon, O., and Miss Mary Haley, of Columbia City, also survive him. Mr. Haley was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic church, of the Holy Name society and of the Catholic Knights of America.

KISTLER, Elias, Obituary
KISTLER: Elias Kistler, aged 78 years, died at St. Joseph's hospital at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, where he had been a patient for seven weeks. The deceased was a retired farmer. He had been making his home with a daughter, Mrs. Bert McMillan, 1701 East Tontiac street. He is survived by seven children, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
