The Barden Family Cemetery is located in the east part of the town of Wells (Called East Wells), Rutland County, Vermont about a mile left of the main road from Wells to Middletown. On the farm now owned by Fred Cooper, formerly owned by Bethuel Barden then by his son John Barden. Abandoned.


BEALS, Mrs. Lydia, wife of David, died May 25, 1823, age 28 yrs.

BARDEN, Bethuel, died Dec. 27, 1831, age 69 yrs.

BARDEN, Mary, relict of Bethuel, died July 18, 1835, age 69 yrs.

BARDEN, Edgar O., died Mar. 9, 1866, age 29 yrs. 7 mos. 10 days.

BARDEN, John, born 1807, died 1895.

BARDEN, Susan Lamb, wife of Susan Lamb, born 1806, died 1893.

BARDEN, Almira, daughter of John and Susan, died July 26, 1845.

FARRAR, Caroline, died Aug. 11, 1843, age 4 yrs. 8 mos.

FARRAR, Philetus, died July 18, 1875, age 34 yrs.

SPAULDING, Frances E., daughter of N. and A., died Oct. 1867, age 11 mos. 24 days.

WAKELY, Infant, daughter of Robert and M. A., died Oct. 1852, age 3 days.

WAKELY, Wilton J., son of Robert and Mercy, died Feb. 14, 1865, age 1 yr. 6 mos. 7 days.

WAKELY, Robert, husband of Mercy, died May 25, 1867, age 45 yrs. 7 mos. 29 days.

WAKELY, Mercy, born Mar. 19, 1832, died Mar. 8, 1898.
