FOSTER, Norman Obituary

Norman Foster died at his home on Ossian street in this village at half-past three o’clock Sunday afternoon from catarrh of the bladder. He had been in feeble health for some time but it was within the past ten days that his disease took a more pronounced form and a fatal turn causing extreme pain and rapid decline. Mr. Foster was born in Sonyea December, 1825. His early occupation was that of a shoemaker and for a number of years he was in the employ of the late John Betts. He resided in Dansville and vicinity all his life and in 1849 was married to Miss Lucinda Reese who survives him together with four daughters: Mrs. Wm. Welch, Mrs. Robert Gamble, Mrs. John Fiddler and Mrs. Alonzo Randall. Three brothers and two sisters also survive: George of Dansville, John of Hinsdale, Daniel of Washington, D. C., Mrs. Jennie Brown of Wilkesbarre, Pa., and Mrs. Kemp of West Sparta. The funeral took place from his late residence at two o’clock yesterday afternoon, Rev. GILDER, Mrs. Mary obituary

Mrs. Mary Gilder, wife of Jacob J. Gilder, died this morning after a lingering illness. She was the daughter of the late Daniel Cogswell, and leaves a husband and son William Gilder, a sister and brother. Mrs. H. C. Fenstermacher and Wm. Cogswell, and her mother. Mrs. M. Cogswell. The funeral arrangements haye not yet been perfected. Mr Gilder has been sadly afflicted in many ways during his lifetime but his greatest bereavement is in the loss of his devoted wife and companion who has shared his joys and sorrows for many years. KLINESTOP, Mrs. Geo. Obituary

Mrs. Geo. Klinestop of Sparta died suddenly Saturday evening from a paralytic stroke. She was miling a cow when the summons came and fell from the stool on which she had been sitting and was discovered by her son Heman who also was milking near by, but who did not know his mother had come into the yard. She was at once carried into the house but life was extinct. She was 61 years old and was the daughter of Jacob Miller of the town of North Dansville who lost his life a few years ago by the burning of his house on east hill, and she was a sister of B. F. Miller who lives near the Lackawanna depot in Dansville. Mrs. Klinestop was stricken with paralysis a year ago from which she recovered and was able to assist nearly all winter during the illness of Josiah E. Titsworth of this village. PORTER, Gen. Fitz John Obituary

Gen. Fitz John Porter died in Morristown, N. J., on Monday, aged 80 years. During the civil war he was charged with disobeying orders and was dismissed, but he fought the matter for years and proved that he was unjustly condemned. ULLYETTE, Doctor Susie Obituary

Doctor Susie Ullyette Hay died in Albion on Monday from blood poisoning. She bad been in Rochester for some months where she was being treated for cancer and she returned to her home a few days before her death. She was born in Woodsville and was the sister of James H.
