LANSING
"This monument was erected in 1900, by the grandchildren of Jacob W. and Helena W. Lansing, in memory of the Lansing Family, whose ancestors came from Holland early in the 17th Century, and Settled in this part of the state".

NOTE:
"Abraham Lansing owns and carries on the Brick House Farm, just west of Vail's Mills, where he located in 1868. He was born in Johnstown, Oct. 6, 1817. He was the son of Isaac Lansing, who was born in Lansingburgh, Rensselaer Co., N.Y., 1779". d. Jan 27, 1847.
