McFADDEN, John, Obituary

John McFadden died April 1st and was buried from his late residence, 85 Buckley street, Thursday, 5th instant. The remains were placed in a black walnut casket, which was beautifully mounted in ebony and gold, massive handles, crucifix and engraved plate bearing name and date of death. The funeral was a very large one, being attended by a large number of frends from Philadelphia, Lehigh and Carbon counties. Mr. McFadden was an old resident of Bristol, a very devout Catholic, and during his life his honesty, integrity of character and love of truth caused him to be held in the highest measure of esteem and respect by all who had social and business relations with him. Mr. McFadden was a faithful and affectionate husband and a kind and indulgent father, the memory of whose simplicity of life will remain untarnished in the hearts and minds of all who knew him.
