Culver, Mrs. Elizabeth Obituary

After a painful sickness of several weeks, Mrs. Culver died on Friday, at her residence on Willow avenue, aged 73 years. Mrs. Culver's maiden name is Elizabeth Brown. She was born and spent most of her life, in this vicinity. Of her family, there remain a brother, John T. Brown, of Canandaigua, and an only child, Mrs. Albert Ammerman, who, with her husband, has been with her mother during the winter, and Mrs. Libbie Cole, a neice whose home has been with Mrs. Culver many years. Mrs. Culver's husband was Norman Culver, who died a good many years ago. Mrs. C. was one of our most estimable old citizens, not extensively known in this village, as, till about six years ago, she resided at East Palmyra. The funeral service was numerously attended at her late residence, on Sunday afternon, and was conducted by Revs. J. H. Moore and A. P. Burgess. The remains were deposited in Willow avenue cemetery.[Arcadian Weekly Gazette, Newark, NY, April 3, 1889]
