Walter Dwight died at Binghamton, N.Y., about midnight, aged forty years. He was a large dealer in lumber at Williamsport, colonel of the Pennsylvania "bucktail" regiment during the war, and ex-Mayor of Binghamton, where he spent a large fortune in developing and beautifying the city.
