Mrs. Bridget Gintry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Barringer, of 29 Fulton Street, aged four months, died Sunday morning, from menigitis. The funeral was held Monday afternoon at three o'clock. [The Columbia Republican, (Hudson, NY), November 5, 1918, P.3.]


BREZINO, Thomas, Obituary

CASEY, Daniel, Obituary

Daniel Casey, aged 24 years, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Casey, of Chatham, died at his home in that village on Saturday, death being caused by pneumonia. He was a well known and popular young man who had many friends in Chatham and also in Pittsfield where he had been employed. Besides his parents he is survived by three sisters and one brother. CLAPPER, Uriah, Obituary

Uriah Clapper, Jr., a former resident of Nassau, died Sunday evening at is home in Brooklyn. He was 46 years old and was born and brought up in Nassau village, going to Brooklyn several years ago to enter business. His body will be brought to the home of his father for burial Thursday. He is survived by his parents of Nassau, one sister, his wife and two sons of Brooklyn.

COON, Mrs. Anna, Obituary

Mrs. Anna Coon, died at her home in Madalin on Monday at the age of 29 years. Death was due to pneumonia. She was a well-known resident and was popular with her friends. DELANOY, Charles W., Obituary

Charles W. Delanoy, first pilot of the steamer B. B. Odell, died at his home in Sleightsburg, on Oct. 29th. The deceased had been employed by the Central Hudson Line for a number of years and was one of the company's youngest pilots. Bertram M. Downs, died on Oct. 29th at his home in Cincinnati. He married Miss Henrietta Ham, a former resident of this city, the daughter of Philip Ham, who survives him, as do two children, Mrs. W. DUNN, Miss Mary, Obituary

Miss Mary Dunn, of Chatham, aged 37 years died Friday morning at the home of her aunt, Miss McCleavy at High Bridge, near Chatham, of pneumonia. She was the daughter of Mr. Ann Mrs. Michael Dunn, who reside in New York City. Miss Dunn was an invalid and was living here with her aunt. The death of Idella L. Oster, wife of Norman Friss, of Hollowville, occurred on Saturday last after a lingering illness. Besides her husband, she is survived by several children. The funeral was held on yesterday afternoon, with prayer from her late home at Hollowville at 2 o'clock and church services from St. Thomas' church, Churchtown, at 3 o'clock. GEORGE, Jeremiah, Obituary

Jeremiah George died at the home of his brother, Byron George, in West Ghent, on Sunday. Mr. George was in his 65th year. He died in the house in which he was born and had devoted his life to agricultural work. The funeral will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from his late home. Clifford Harnon, a popular and well known resident of the village of Athens, passed away at his home in that village on Thursday night, after a week's illness of pneumonia. The deceased was twenty-nine years of age. He is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Fred Dederick, Mrs. G. Word has been received in Valatie of the death at Middletown of Dr. Isaac Lent, who was for many years a practicing physician in former village. Dr. Lent made a host of friends while there and many will be grieved is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jennie Lent. A brother-in-law of the de-deceased, James E. Snyder, resides in Valatie. Mrs. Caroline Levy, aged about seventy-eight years died from shock Monday night, at her home in Philmont. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Albert Duntz, with whom she made her home, and two sons, Edward and Jerry Levy, all of Philmont. LOFTUS, George, Obituary

The death of George Loftus, of Rensselaer, occurred at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Loftus, on Oct. 20. Death was caused by pneumonia. The young man was well known and popular in his home city. Besides his parents, he is survived by four brothers and two sisters. MANSMON, Gustav, Obituary

Gustav Mansmon, died in a Poughkeepsie hospital on Thursday of pneumonia. His home was in New York, but he had been living alone in rooms on the premises of Silas Miller in Germantown, where he picked fruit during the past season. He was in the hospital less than two days. Mrs. J. C. Munford, aged thirty-five years died at her home in Athens on Friday morning, after an illness of several days of pneumonia. She was well known in that village and held a large circle of friends by her kindly traits of character and her kindly disposition. PETSEL, John, Obituary

John Petsel, of Germantown, has received a telegram stating that his son, Stanley Petsel, had died of pneumonia at Camp McClellan, Alabama, after an illness of a few days. He was a private and left with a contingent of Columbia county men, last July. A wife and two children survive him. A reply by telegram requested the body to be shipped to Germantown for burial. Irving E. Pulver, of Chatham, aged 29, died this morning with pneumonia at his home near Ghent. He leaves a wife, they having been married only a few months, one brother and two sisters.

Pneumonia claimed another victim in the village of Athens on Sunday morning, when John Smith, a former captain of a barge, who had purchased the former Wells property on the Catskill road and made his home there for over a year died. Word was received in this Monday of the death in Brooklyn of Anna Tobey, wife of J. Girad Tobey, a former wll known Hudsonian. She leaves beside her husband, one son, 12 years old. VAN BUREN, Clifton T., Obituary

Clifton T. Van Buren, the 13 months old child of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Van Buren, of Valatie, died on Tuesday morning. The funeral was held at his home on Wednesday afternoon. Rev. John Watson, aged about seventy-five years, died suddenly Wednesday at Canaan Four Corners. Coroner Tripp of Chatham, was called and took charge of the remains. WILBUR, Thomas C., Obituary

Thomas C. Wilbur, of Chatham, aged 33 years, died this morning, after a brief illness from influenza and pneumonia. He is survived by a wife and three small children. Mr. Wilbur was a chauffeur for William Hoch's auto livery and many friends will be shocked to learn of his death. The death of Henry Will, 68 years old, occurred at his home near Martindale on Monday night, cancer of the stomach being the cause. He is survived by his wife and two sons. The funeral will be held from his late home at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon, the Rev. William J. Vile officiating. Interment will be in Martindale cemetery.
