The funeral services of Frank M. Aiken, the gallant Confederate veteran, who died Saturday morning at his residence, 36 Stonewall-st., were conducted at Trinity Methodist church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, Dr. J. W. Lee and J. George W. Dixon, of Augusta, Augusta, Ga., Feb. 24 - Captain George W. Dixon for many years superintendent of the county road department, who died at his home near the city Saturday, was buried yesterday afternoon. Madison, Ga., Feb. 24 – L. J. Few, a prominent young business man of this place, died last Saturday and was interred in the new cemetery here yesterday. Mr. Few leaves a wife and one child. After an illness of several months, Robert Fitzpatrick, aged 77, died at his residence, 283 Marietta-st.. Tuesday night at 8 o’clock. He was a consistant member of the Sacred Heart Catholic church, where the funeral ceremonies will be conducted Thursday morning at 9 o’clock, Father Gunn officiating. The interment will be at Marietta, Ga. The pallbearers selected are requested to meet at Greenberg, Bond & Bloomfield’s undertaking establishment Thursday morning at 8 o’clock. Miss Annie Flanagan, aged 38, formerly of Griffin, Ga., died at 1:30 o’clock Tuesday morning at the residence of her sister, Mrs. W. W. Wilson, 11 Johnson-ave. The funeral services will be conducted at Barclay & Brandon’s private chapel Thursday morning at 10:30 o’clock. The interment will be at Westview cemetery. Miss Flanagan had resided in Atlanta for several years and was a teacher in the State-st. school. Miss Hilda Gipperich, aged 21, passed away Sunday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the residence of her sister, Mrs. J. J. Foote, in Edgewood, Ga., after a lingering illness. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. J. J. Foote, of Edgewood; Mrs. William Carder, of Atlanta, and one brother, Carl Gipperich, of New York. The funeral was conducted at the residence of her sister, Mrs. William Carder, 40 Queen-st., Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock. She was laid to rest in Westview cemetery. Mrs. Lillie Hayes, aged 32, passed away at a private sanitarium late Sunday afternoon, after and illness of several months. She is survived by two small children. WELLS, Mrs. Miranda, Obituary
Mrs. Miranda Wells, aged 57, the wife of H. H. Wells, was found dead in bed by her husband Saturday afternoon at the family residence, 466 West Hunter-st. Mr. Wells had been with his wife for most of the day, but had stepped out for a few minutes and on returning found his wife dead. Her death was caused by heart trouble, of which she had been a sufferer for some time. Mrs. Wells is survived by her husband and five children.
