KELSEY, Fanny Obituary

DIED, At North Killingworth, on the 15th inst. very suddenly, Mrs. Fanny Kelsey, wife of Mr. Michael Kelsey, in the 26th year of her age. She arose in the morning in usual health and was attending to the domestic concerns of her family, when in one hour and ten minutes she was a lifeless corpse. She has left a husband and two children to mourn her loss. This sudden death speaks in strong language to the living “Be ye also ready.” [Connecticut Courant, (Hartford, CT), Sept. 30, 1817.]


HUNTINGTON, Harriet Obituary

DIED, At Charlotte, on the 18th ult. Harriet Huntington, aged 17 years. In the s hort space of seven weeks, Mr. Huntington has been deprived of four of his family. His wife died on the 3d, his daughter, Martha, aged 27, on the 25th, Phoebe, aged 21, on the 29th of August, and Harriot on the 18th. They all died of the fever which prev ails on the shore of Lake Ontario. [Connecticut Courant, (Hartford, CT), Oct. 19, 1819]

SAWYER, Elizabeth, Obituary

Died - at Bolton, widow Elizabeth Sawyer, aged One Hundred and Five! She retained her senses to the last; would converse rationally; recollected many things which took place an hundred years since; rode to the meeting, two miles on horseback, after she was ninety-eight; and walked a mile to a neighbor's after she was an hundred years old.
