BAILEY, Nathaniel Obituary

Chatham - On the 1st inst. Mr. Nathaniel Bailey, of Chatham, was shockingly mangled and drowned at his saw-mill, aged 48. When he opened the floodgate, he observed some obstruction in the [flume], and stripped and went down to remove it ; but the suction was so strong, that it drew his foot and leg through, which was entangled and broke to pieces by the wheel; and his head under water, so that notwithstanding the exertions of those around him, he was drowned before he could be extricated. HART, Eunice Woodruff Obituary

DIED. At Southington the 9th instant, in the 32d year of her age, of ashort and distressing illness, Mrs. Eunice Hart, wife of Mr. Timothy Hart, and daughter of Mr. John Woodruff. She has left a disconsolate husband and three small children to mourn their loss. Her amiable life has caused her death to be universally lamented by her acquaintance.
