BOSTICK, Mrs. Judge, nee Howell, Obituary
Death entered the home of Judge Bostick, who lives near our town, on last Wednesday and removed his beloved wife to a home beyond the skies. Mrs. Bostick was the daughter of Mr. William Howell and left two little children who will miss a mother's care. - [The Marion County News, (Hamilton, Ala), Aug. 23, 1900]

Elmond Burleson died at the home of his father, Aaron Burleson, about 5 miles from Hamilton on last Thursday evening, and was buried the following day. BURLESON, Mrs. Harriet N., Obituary
Died: One of the oldest residents of our county passed away on last Thursday night in the Hackleburg neighborhood when Mrs. Harriet N. Burleson departed this life. She was in her 84th year of age at the time of her death and had a large number of relatives and friends who will mourn her death. CARTER, Wwashington, Obituary
A very unfortunate accident occurred in the Buttahatchee River below the Fulton Bridge on last Sunday. A lot of boys were in swimming and Washington Carter was drowned. He was the one of William Carter, who lives near Barnsville, and was about 16 years of age. CLEVELAND, Lillie May, Obituary
Died: Lillie May, the little daughter of our friends, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Cleveland, died on last Sunday night. She was a bright child of three years and a void is left in that household which can now only be a sweet memory. The funeral was preached at the Baptist Church by Rev. R. W. Ur Item: On the morning of the 21st of May, 1900, the death angel visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Estes and took from them their beloved daughter, Savannah. MATTHEWS, Walter Houston, Obituary
In Memoriam: Walter Houston Matthews was born in Marion Co., on Feb. 22, 1850, joined the Methodist Church when about 16 years of age, was married Jan. 22, 1869 to Miss Florence Bishop, who together with three daughters and one son, survives him. He was made a Mason on Sept. 27, 1879 at Pikeville and moved membership to Guin Lodge on April 15, 1893. Brother Matthews died on July 12, 1900. RAMEY, Mrs. Fannie, Obituary
Died: Mrs. Fannie Ramey, the beloved wife of J. P. Ramey, died at the family residence in our town. She was born in Newberry District, South Carolina on June 5, 1840, and died on June 17, 1900, and was therefore 60 years and 12 days old. She moved to Marion County, Ala. when a child and was married to J. P. Ramey on Nov. 23, 1859. She became a member of the Baptist Church in 1860, her membership being in the Hamilton Church at the time of her death. By her request, she was buried at Concord, near Bexar, on Monday evening. To the near relatives of the deceased lady, we extend our sincere sympathy and more especially to the aged husband who is left in the world to travel alone the road that leads to another and better world. - [The Marion County News, (Hamilton, Ala), June 21, 1900]
